How to use the QR code maker

  1. Choose your content. Enter a full website URL, plain text, an email address, or Wi-Fi details.
  2. Style your code. Choose square, rounded, or dot patterns and square or rounded corner markers. Keep the code dark and its background light.
  3. Add a logo. Select a small, simple image. High error correction is applied automatically, but it does not guarantee a successful scan.
  4. Export and test. Use SVG for scalable artwork, or PNG for quick placement. Keep the clear border intact and scan your final design before publishing or printing.

PNG exports use whole pixels per module, so the actual size can be slightly larger than the selected minimum. PNG size controls pixels, not a physical print size or embedded DPI setting.

How a QR code works

A QR code turns information into a grid of light and dark modules. The three large corner markers help a scanner locate and orient the code. A phone decodes the pattern, then offers an action such as opening a website, composing an email, or joining a Wi-Fi network.

Error correction adds redundant data that can help a reader recover damaged information. It is not permission to cover an arbitrary percentage of the code with a logo. This maker preserves a clear margin of at least four modules around the pattern.

These codes are static. The information is built into the downloaded image. You cannot edit that information after download; generate a new QR code if it changes. A website QR code continues to depend on the destination staying available.

Privacy and data disclaimer

This QR maker processes your entered content and selected logo in your browser. The tool does not upload that information, save it to a database or browser storage, or create a scan-tracking link. Resetting the tool or reloading the page clears its working state; your browser may separately restore form entries.

Downloaded files are saved on your device and contain the encoded information. QR codes are not encrypted: anyone with the image can read its content, including Wi-Fi credentials. The surrounding website may use its own analytics or cookies, and scanning a website code visits the destination under that website’s privacy policy.
