Amazon A+ Image Size Checker
Check your Basic and Premium assets before they reach Seller Central.
Images stay in your browser. Up to 50 files per batch, 20 MB per file. Tabs change the default for new uploads and the reference below. Existing images keep their assigned slots; change any image’s slot individually.
Export for the slot, not a magic number
Use the selected slot’s pixel dimensions as your final export target. Larger files may be resized by Amazon. Smaller files cannot supply detail they do not contain. Re-export from the original artwork instead of enlarging a small JPEG.
For photos, start with a high-quality JPEG; for text and diagrams, compare a PNG export. Use sRGB/RGB and keep files below 2 MB. A practical working target is below 1.9 MB to leave headroom—this is our recommendation, not an Amazon compression threshold.
A size pass does not certify sharpness, RGB profile, DPI metadata, policy compliance, or Amazon approval. This checker evaluates decoded pixel dimensions, file format, file bytes and aspect ratio. Verify color space and resolution metadata in your export application.
Basic A+ image slot reference
Dimensions below are module minimums and suggested final export targets. Aspect-ratio mismatches are review flags, since Amazon’s editor can crop images. Confirm the current field in Seller Central if it differs. Target file size below 1.9 MB is recommended headroom, not an Amazon compression threshold. DPI metadata requires manual verification; changing it alone does not improve pixel detail.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. The text overlay uses 970 × 300, while the image header with text uses 970 × 600. Logos, image cards, and comparison columns use different slots.
-
There is no verified universal file-size cutoff or compression-quality value in the sources used here. Undersized source pixels, resizing, embedded small text, and repeated lossy exports can affect clarity. This tool flags measurable sizing risks; the compression preview is a browser-generated experiment, not Amazon’s output.
-
It is not a guaranteed fix. Keep a larger editable master, then export at the selected slot size and inspect the result. Amazon’s guide says oversized uploads can be resized. Check both the Seller Central preview and the published desktop and mobile page.
-
Changing DPI metadata without adding real source detail does not increase on-screen sharpness. Amazon’s module guide requests at least 72 dpi, but the actual pixel dimensions remain essential.
-
Several Premium modules use separate 600 × 450 mobile assets. Choose the mobile slot for those images; a desktop banner is not a substitute for a mobile composition.

The CSV includes every filename, assigned slot, source dimensions, bytes, status, warnings and recommended export dimensions. The visual HTML report includes thumbnails and can be printed to PDF. Reports describe this local preflight check, not Amazon approval.
